PARTICIPATION RULES
https://edxcnews.files.wordpress.com/2020/08/edxc-radio-countries-list-at-august-2020.pdf , information of the transmitter sides can be found on https://www.short-wave.info and in the WRTH 2020 or 2021 from at least 2 continents for the lenght of at least 15 minutes with all the listening details (***) within the months of July (1.7. - 31.7.). Five of these logs have to be published on the GFR - Facebook page including a photo or a short video (not longer than one minute), all of the logs (****) have to be forwarded to the admins at the end of the months by email to this address: globalradiofriends@gmail.com.
Participants should publish on the GRF - facebook page a photo of their shack or favourite radio(s) they will use for the Diploma at the start of the period for the diploma (July).
IMPORTANT: This is not a DX-contest, there will be no winner. It is a diploma simply to prove your joy of listening to radio stations on short wave, medium wave or lon gwave.
On the diploma the number of countries and continents you received will be mentioned.
The diploma will be issued with your name on it in electronic version only. It will be numbered, if you have a SWARL call sign, this can be added to the diploma (after your name). The diplomas will be sent to the participants – if all requirements have been met – within the months of August.
Costs: participation is free of charge
DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: 7 AUGUST 2021
The main intention of this Diploma is to use your own equipment and to show what you can receive at your place.
Nevertheless, for those Global Radio Friends who believe that they are unable to use their own equipment for participating because of too much electronic noise in their listening environment, they may participate by choosing two working KiwiSDR nearby their place of residence from this list: http://kiwisdr.com. They have to contact the admins of these contest before, register the KiwiSDRs they intent to us and get them approved. These approved KiwiSDRs may not be changed afterwards. All logs made by those who decide Kiwi SDRs have to send for each log a screen shot on which the web address of the Kiwi SDR can be clearly seen and the frequency and time of the station.
Due to the fact that the reception conditions on the northern and southern hemisphere are quite different in the beginning and the middle of the year, there will be two contests: one in July 2021 and another one in January 2022.
We wish all participants vy 73

(*) only radio stations. Utility stations and ham operators listened to do not count
(**) as a country received the site of the transmitter is decisive and not the name of the station. So e.g. Radio Prague on 6005 kHz with the transmitters site of Nauen does not count for the Czech Republic, but for Germany, Radio Exterior the Argentina on 7780 kHz does not count for Argentina, due to its transmitter site in Okeechobbee for the USA.
If you listen to the BBC or VoA on various frequencies, they could count for different countries, as they are located for e.g. in Botswana, Singapore and Oman.
(***) Log Nr, date, station name, transmitter site (= country), power in kW (non-obligatory), time from – to (start – end) in UTC, frequency in kHz, language of broadcast, programme details, reception quality in SINPO Code, RX (receiver used) and antenna (non-obligatory), date of facebook-posting
